Data Deletion Request

This page explains how users of ClashOfHelper can request the deletion of account-related data and historical records stored on our backend servers. We respect and protect your data rights.

1. How to Request Deletion

You can request data deletion by following these steps:

  1. Send an email to our official developer email: clashofhelper@outlook.com.
  2. Use the subject line: ClashOfHelper Data Deletion Request.
  3. Provide at least one of the following identifiers in your email so we can locate the correct records:
    • Your Clash of Clans Player Tag bound to the app (e.g., #L9J2R02V).
    • Your ClashOfHelper User ID or Support ID shown in the app settings, if available.
  4. If you contact us from a different email address than the one used in prior support conversations, please include enough detail for us to verify your identity.

2. What We Delete

After a valid deletion request is confirmed, we will delete or deactivate the following account-related data stored on our backend for ClashOfHelper:

  • Your account-bound players\' tags and linkages stored in our cloud databases.
  • Custom user profiles, custom nicknames, and favorite lists synchronized with our servers.
  • Active session records and temporary API Access Tokens associated with your device.

Note: Shared layouts and army compositions that you have publicly uploaded to the community are considered public contributions and will not be physically deleted. However, we will completely sever all links and associations between these contributions and your player tag, custom nickname, or user account (fully anonymized).

3. What May Be Retained Temporarily

Some limited records may be retained for security auditing, fraud/abuse prevention, or legal compliance under applicable laws:

  • Security audit logs to defend against abuse, DDoS, or unauthorized platform attempts.
  • Unstructured system log files or backup snapshots that cannot be instantly stripped from rotating backend infrastructure.
  • Minimal verification logs indicating that a data deletion request was processed to fulfill legal compliance.

4. Deletion Timeline

  • Verification & Soft-Delete: Upon verification of your identity, we will apply a soft-delete to your data on our backend within 15 business days, making it inaccessible.
  • Permanent Deletion: To prevent accidental data loss and verify the request safely, data is temporarily queued for 30 days. It will be permanently destroyed unless a longer retention period is required for accounting or fraud investigations.

5. Important Notes

  • Uninstalling the App: Deleting backend data does not uninstall the app or erase local cache data stored directly on your device.
  • Verification Safeguards: If multiple conflicting deletion requests are sent for the same account, we may ask for additional details to prevent malicious deletions.
